Bus Stop Montage
This is a montage of a boy waiting for a bus, due to missing it before. For this we just took a collective of videos and various positions to make the illusion that he has been waiting for the bus for quite along time.

Matthew Project
Matthew Project- Smoking
A group of us volunteered to help out to create a video for the Matthew project, to give an opportunity to rehabilitate. We had to create a clip that encouraged people to get help if they are struggling with an addiction, this was centered around smoking.
For this we wanted to create the illusion that the boy felt like that when he smokes that he thought that he looked cool, so therefore we filmed Lewis, casted as the boy, to dress in bright colours and on a sunny day. This helped reflect his mood when he was smoking.
However, when he wasn't smoking the group wanted to film to film Lewis in the rain, which reflected the reality of the consequences when smoking.

Book Smart Film Research Task
Booksmart
This movie is about two best friends who still attend high school, however, they're about to graduate. But these girls are seen as disliked and unpopular due to being portrayed as weird and awkward. These girls are presented as very opinionated and naïve to the fact that you can't have fun and go to parties, as well as concentrate on school grades. They are very school orientated and look down on the other high schoolers for messing about in lessons. The only friends they have is each other, so therefore are shown to be very close.
They then have one more night to make themselves remembered before graduation. To do this they try to get to a popular boy's party.
This film follows the theory of Todorov as it is a linear sequence and goes from the start to the end without cutting to the past or future, stays in the present day.
Reviews:
The movie has a 7.2/10 rating from IMDb, Commonsense media rated Booksmart 4/10 and Rotten tomatoes gave the film the rating of 97%.
Adults gave more critical reviews with ratings as low as 1 and 2, due to the film 'being over the top and cringing with the crude jokes and contents, leaving me disappointed'.
Some even saying that 'it isn't appropriate for children and should be given a higher age rating, due to the film being a poor female version of the hangover'
However, some adults give almost full stars.
One person said that the movie provides people 'with a message of life is too short'and proceeded to compliment the casts acting.
Another commented on how the movie was 'touching, a lot of humour and feels like a classic'
Some continued to say that they recommend that people watch it.
Although when viewing the kids reviews over 3/4 of them have 4+ stars.
Many commenting on the fact that they can relate to some of the situations and shows 'how it's like to be a teenager in modern society.

Gold Rush Receation Scene
My group have been chosen to recreate the scene when Big Jim tries to remember. He has lost his memory from being in an accident when trying to find the gold, however ended up having a fall when the snow mountain gave way.
The plan to recreate this scene is to use a room and organise the it to look similar to the one in the Chaplin Movie. We will need to place a table and a few chairs placed around the table. The room we will need will have to look a bit old to capture the time period of when the movie is set.
We will be using four boys to play the role of the two offices, Chaplin and Big Jim. We will be using Tom (a group member) to be Big Jim considering that he is tall, so therefore will be a good actor for Jim's role. For Chaplin we will be using a boy called Jack to play the role of Chaplin as he is small and slim, so therefore he will be able to play his role well.
For Big Jim he will be wearing a big oversized fur coat and a furry hat, as it helps the audience to engage that it is set in a cold country. However, we decided to give Charlie Chaplin a bowler hat, considering that is what he is seen wearing in the film. We put a bandage around his foot so that the audience could engage that Chaplin isn't the most wealthy person and therefore is unable to replace his shoe that he had eaten previously in the film. He is also wearing a suit as Chaplin is seen wearing a suit throughout. The two boys we used as the police officers were seen in blue suits so that the audience were able to distinguish the character's and their purpose.
In the film the character's were seen with black around their eyes so therefore we used eyeshadow to put under the eyes of Chaplin and Big Jim.
